Who we are

Home > About Vertify > Who we are

Over recent years, Vertify has evolved into one of the major agricultural research centres in the Netherlands in the field of applied research. Vertify is a flexible organization that offers high-quality applied research, providing results that are directly applicable to our clients.

Locations

Vertify has its own locations in North Holland and the Westland region, as well as implementation locations at over 100 sites throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.

With firm roots in these locations, Vertify can help to answer your question or execute your idea, project, or research from A to Z: from assisting in the start-up of a research project and finding the right project partners, to looking for grants and ensuring the complete execution and supervision of a research project.

Vertify has 18 hectares of land at its disposal in Zwaagdijk, with 6,000 m² of greenhouse, 20 storage cells, 4 chicory cells, and 2 LED cells.

Vertify has two centrally located offices in the Westland region. The World Horti Center is home to our 36 fully equipped research departments. These departments vary from 85 to 170 m² and can be adjusted to the wishes of the customer. The climate and watering can be controlled separately for each department. Please visit the website of World Horti Center for more information.

Our location on Zwethlaan (Honselersdijk) can be used for research and also has office space for rent. For more information, please contact us at info@vertify.nl

History

Vertify was set up in 1986 under the name ‘Proeftuin Zwaagdijk’ as a regional research location for flower bulbs and field vegetables. Since 1990, the government has gradually cut back on funding for applied research. Due to a drastic national restructuring of agricultural research, Vertify decided to continue as an independent private foundation as from 1 January 1997.
